SOCI: Industrial Cutting Optimization System

The “SOCI” project aims to increase the profitability of the industrial process of cutting parts from irregular alloy metal bars.

It intends to develop a 3D part nesting solution for the industrial cutting of metal bars, combining high-resolution 3D measurement with cutting optimization and stock management.

This solution will create a three-dimensional virtual copy of each metal bar and design the cutting plans based on the information obtained from the whole stock to increase the yield of the cutting process and minimize waste.
